Once a year, we walk with Jesus toward the cross by observing Holy Week.

Holy Week includes Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter Sunday.

Each of these days in our church calendar help us remember the final days of Jesus' life,

from his triumphal entry into Jerusalem to the day of his resurrection on Easter Sunday.

Let's remember and celebrate Jesus' life together! Check out the details below:

Passion (Palm) Sunday is a special day in our church calendar. On this day, we gather to remember Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem during the last week of his life. We will have contemporary worship at 9:30am in the fellowship hall, and we will have a special Passion Sunday Cantata using music composed by Pepper Choplin in the sanctuary at 10:45am, with the choir leading.

On Maundy Thursday, join us in the fellowship hall for an interactive Stations of the Cross experience. When you arrive, you’ll get to walk with Jesus through his final days, from his prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane to his burial in the tomb. This is a self-guided experience, so you are welcome to arrive at any time between 5:30pm and 7:30pm. If you would like to volunteer to help with a station, please contact Beth Pinson or Barb Hart.

On Good Friday, we gather to remember Jesus’ death. We’re teaming up with FUMC Seffner to hold a traditional Good Friday service at their campus on Friday, April 15 at 7pm. The traditional name for this service is Tenebrae, which means “darkness.” During the service, you’ll hear readings from Pastor Bailey and Pastor Brian, listen to hymns sung by our combined choir, and watch as the candles are blown out to help us remember the tragic death of our Lord.

Join us on Saturday, April 16 from 10am to 12pm for a special Easter celebration for the whole family! We'll have a huge Easter egg hunt on the playground, a bounce house, arts and crafts, FREE pizza and drinks, and a special visit from the Easter Bunny. We can't wait to see you there!

The Easter Sunday celebrations begin at 6:30am with a Sunrise Service on the front lawn of the church. This will be a casual service of celebration with a mix of traditional and contemporary worship songs led by Scott Stafford. Our contemporary (9:30) and traditional (10:45) worship services will be held at their normal times as we gather to celebrate our risen Lord.
